God's Word
-Do you value it above Silver & Gold?
- Do you hide it in your Heart?
- Where moth & rust cannot destroy?
- Where theives cannot break in and Steal?

Notes:.
God's word, whether we utilize it or not, is one of God's greatest gifts to mankind. For in it, we discover everything we need for life and godliness, that will lead us safely into the kingdom of heaven to abide with God forever and ever.
Without God's word:
We would be like a ship in the ocean, battered and beaten by mighty storm waves, but without a rudder, and without sails, to guide the ship out of the storm, and into a safe harbor.
We would be like soldiers running towards the battle line, only with butter knives in our hands and spoons as weapons, against shields, and swords, and heavily armored enemies. Completely ineffective against the enemy.
But God has given us his word which is sharper than a double edged sword, able to separate the joint from the marrow. (That illustration is actually designated for personal self inspection and examination. It judges the thoughts on the tensions of the heart.)
But the sword of the spirit is one of the pieces of weaponry given to every believer outlined in Ephesians chapter 6. We need his word to do the battle. Without it, we are lost.
When Jesus defeated Satan in the desert, he destroyed the lies of Satan with the word of God, exposing the traps, and snares, and webs of the enemy, cutting them completely into shreds with the word of God. That is our primary weapon for both self protection against lies, and the destruction of enemy strongholds.
I pray this study will strengthen your resolve to dig deeper and grow more powerful in your walk with God.
John 1:1-5 (KJV)
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
John 1:10-14 (KJV)
10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. 11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not. 12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. 14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
