“The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”
— 2 Peter 3:9 KJV
When it comes to God's will, it is absolutely clear, that he does not want anyone to perish.
The problem is, and has always been, his own people, his own sons and daughters, his own chosen ones, have continually rejected and abandoned his laws, and has refused to listen to his voice.
Therefore, they disinherited themselves from his heavenly kingdom, from his righteousness, from his holiness, from his eternal perfection.
You can lead a horse to water, but you can't force him to drink.
That has been the problem since Adam and Eve chose to obey the serpent, an evil demonic servant of the devil himself. Instead of serving, the one true God, believing in him, keeping his Commandments, obeying his authority, honoring his name, and enjoy, enjoying all the benefits of walking with the holy one of heaven.
Throughout history, there has been scarcely few men who actually fully chose to walk with God, keep all his Commandments, and have his supernatural blessings, protection, power, love, mercy, miracles, signs and wonders, and heavenly grace upon their daily lives.
But in this teaching, we see clearly that it's not God's will that any man perish. But I'll come to repentance. All choose to lay down their lies, and pick up his truth. It's that simple. If only men would keep the Commandments of Jesus, this whole world could be transformed.
This is an important message for every evangelist to dig deep into, and grab a hold of at a foundational level. This is the foundation for every evangelistic message to reach the lost. They need to know God's heart is for them. He does not want them to perish. He doesn't want them to suffer.
But he can't stop himself from being righteous, from being just, and from being unbiased. He has provided a way of escape to the door of his son. Who is the way, the truth, and the life, and no man can come to the father but through him.
But if his people choose to reject the door, the way, the truth, the life, and the invitation to come into his kingdom, through the door of repentance, then the father is not able to help those who turn their back on him.
I pray that is not you, or anyone in your family. May they get this message quickly before it is too late? God bless all who will open their hearts and share it freely.
Shalom
